The Cabbage Soup Diets are as follows:
For added flavour: Cayenne pepper, curry powder, mixed herbs or any other seasoning.
Onions are sautéed in a little oil or cooking spray until
transparent, remaining veg is added gradually, followed by seasoning. Water is
added then heat is reduced to a simmer for approximately 2 hours.

Participants are directed to drink 8 or more
glasses of water per day, no sweetened beverages are allowed. The amount of
cabbage soup (CS) to be eaten is unlimited, for breakfast lunch and dinner and the
soup is expected to be eaten at least once a day.
You may find slight variants of this diet online, in some cases chicken is substituted for the beef on days 5 & 6. Meal wise there is very little to work with and this is a diet of great discipline, but with unlimited soup to eat being hungry is not a valid excuse!
According to internet folklore there may be many names
that the CS Diet moonlights under, some include; the TWA Stewardess
Diet, Model’s Diet, the Dolly Parton Diet, Military Cabbage Soup Diet, Mayo
Clinic Diet, Sacred Heart Hospital Diet, Miami Heart Institute Diet, Spokane
Diet, Fat Burning Diet, T. J.s Miracle Soup Diet and the Skinny. No one has
laid claim to or confirmed any endorsement however.
